Let's go back to "GO"
Let's go under the issues and the status quo, down to the roots and template of our nation — the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.
Let's have the U S government focus always first, foremost, and primarily on its top obligations — to keep us individually and collectively
with all legislation and programs subject to these PRIMARY governing principles.
Insidious, gradual departures from these simple principles have brought us down to where we are. Let's go back to where we were.
Being fired from MSNBC is like being thrown off a sinking ship. Congratulations! I hope Suicide of a Super Power will wake people up to what is being taken from us. I put a link to it in my website. Hope it helps.
I have been reading and watching you in CNN first and MSNBC later since the time I came to this country twenty years ago and always, as a catholic, I was impressed by your courage and your capacity to tell things by their name. Having come from a very authoritarian society, I have loved your sense of freedom to tell people what you thought about issues when others try to avoid them and even if one may disagree with you. Thanks you for your witness. I hope that the direction of this country is not what you are predicting but it seems that, in many ways, you have been not only a journalist but a prophet. I will miss you
Que Dios te bendiga Pat.
I have always regarded you as cut from the same cloth as Solzhenitsen. I am certain that you will use your time in exile wisely and productively. Those responsible at MSNBC can look forward to a little pat on the head from Joseph Stalin when they get to where they are going.
Truly your friend
I Hate Anti-Intellectualism - Whether From the Right or Left
I am so far left it would make your head spin and seldom have I agreed in the slightest with the theses of your books. However, disagreement aside, I have always enjoyed hearing you explain the thought behind those theses. Further, I have always thoroughly enjoyed your commentary and analysis (and sense of humor) - beginning back in the "Crossfire" days and most recently on MSNBC.
I find this entire episode regarding your status very distasteful. I loath Fox and their complete lack of objectivity and refusal to present both sides of a question, but apparently, MSNBC is choosing a similar route. I am heartened that several of your former colleagues have come to your defense but the damage has already been done.
I know you view this as censorship from the Left, but I consider it censorship by those (regardless of political orientation) who fear real intellectual discussion and debate.
I look forward to your reappearance on TV (please don't let it be on Fox!) and I plan on making these same feelings known to the those who are pushing for a "pure" ideologogy at MSNBC.
My respect to you
Dear Mr, Buchanan,I am 74 years old Jewish man who came to the USA in 1981 from USSR. Despite of our different view on Israel I respect you very much and believe you are The Last of the Mohicans of American decent journalist. You stay like Gulliver among those political Lilliputians who insult you for saying the truth. Unfortunately, even politician who agree with you inside his/her soul are too cowardly to support you. Now days when the face of MS NBC is demagogue, bully and "a Hero of Crown Heights" Al Sharpton, there is no place to the person like you who call a spade a spade. Now it's the time for petty politician from the President and down. The Lilliputians are the crew of the ship America who are leading her straight to the icebergs.
Please do not allow them to silence you.
With great respect
I have always regarded you as cut from the same cloth as Solzhenitsyn. Keep
the faith. The brigade is with you.
Health to you and your family
Pat, you are not the only one who has fallen from a black list, you\'d be shocked! but this is what happens in a fallen society. Don\'t give up and as much as I know it would be against your better judgment we need for you to be on the air. Please sue for your job back make sure you get a \"good lawyer\" okay, that is the most important the others will just drain you and will deliberately lose your case. But get that job back, even though we know you don\'t want it or need, but we are the ones who need it and you, God has led you to this path and you mustn\'t give up or weaken you must be even stronger than you have been before and you have to keep going at the by throwing the truth in their faces, please so as I suggest, we need you so much Pat, we have nothing and will surely have nothing if we don\'t have you on the airwaves. God Bless and hang in there!
I have read all your books and i really appreciate your intelligence and historical knowledge. I dont agree with you on social issues but respect your perspective as a Catholic. I just dont know why ou blame your censorship on the Left. You and i both know that is BS. The ADL is not the Left! Helen Thomas wasnt silenced from the Left! They arent Left Or Right!
MSNBC apparently has no grasp of the concept of freedom of speech. While I do not always agree with your philosophies. Perhaps if they used the opportunity to begin a meaningful dialogue with you, they would not become more enlightened. Instead they took the low road. you.
Please continue to speak your mind. Share your observations. We are a pretty messed up country. Tribes of every description and I imagine William F. Buckley would have a few choice comments about it all.
Good fortune to you in your next iteration.
NOT SURPRISED AT MSNBC
I have been a BIG fan of yours for many years. I was not totally surprised that MSNBC decided to end their relationship with you. The usual attack\'s on Conservatives has dramatically increased since Obama ascended to the White House. As he said \'we know who you are\'. Pat, like yourself, I am unable to mask my belief\'s and I \'tell it like it is\', often times to my own detriment. You will bounce back because truth can not be silenced.
I am a 61 year old native New Yorker (of Hispanic decent). I worked on Wall Street for 35 years and retired in 2005, due to health issues. I can not believe our great Country is on such a downhill Progressive march. I love the USA and it both saddens and terrifies me. I am a person who rarely takes the time to express my fellings in writing. However, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for your years of expressing what I believe are the sentiments of most American\'s.
Good luck. God bless America.
Jerry in NYC
From your friend Ben Jones
You are a better man than all of those p.c. bullies. Neither the left nor the right will succeed by shouting down free voices.
Your enemies are the real threat to free speech, free thought, and free expression.
Don't give up the ship!!
Ben Jones aka "Cooter"
Please continue the fight
I have always looked forward to seeing you on The Mclaughin Group, where I hope you will continue to appear. The "open minded" liberals are once again shown to be only open minded you agree with them. This is not America if they can stifle free speech. Please continue to speak for Conservatives who love America.
Keep on "Keeping On"!
Dear Pat, They, the L E F T , have been trying, for years to shut up any reasonable voice of Democracy!
MSNBC and all of it's associates are just another of the Anti-Christian, Secular Fundamentalist's minions. Always were, always will be.
Consider it a compliment, to not have to associate with the covey of conflicted crazies, who contend America was NOT founded on Christian principles!
We have all your books, frequently give them to friends and associates, and will continue to do so.
Keep talking, and writing, and the World will be a better place for it.
may God continue to bless you, Pat Buchanon.
Robert and Opal McCullough
I just wanted to say that I am currently reading "Suicide of a Superpower" and I think Pat is very attuned to the times. It is a shame how our country has been sold for such a cheap price to the current status quo. I hope that God will bless Pat and our country despite the current situation. Nevermind not working for MSNBC...one could have predicted this would ensue for bucking the popular trends. Thank You.
RIGHT AS RAIN
Pat, You are A truth serum that needs to be injected into this society of left wing, ANTI-AMERICANs.Fact is \"THEY CAN\"T STAND the TRUTH. We need to turn this country around completely.I tuned in to MSNBC programing since it began,Your presents on Morning Joe was & still should be available every Viewer of to MSNBC. You should sue That Station for infringement of your rights. You have been prevented from exercising your \"FREEDOM OF SPEECH . I\'m a diehard Democrat, but I am not afraid of \"THE TRUTH\". Hope you will return somewhere! Love to hear your opinions on all subjects. Stand Up For America Pat, You are RIGHT AS RAIN.
I'm going to miss you on MSNBC
I'm very sorry that you are no longer going to be a commentator on MSNBC. As someone whose roots are very much moderate Republican (my late grandmother was a National Republican Committeewoman in the 1940's-1950's)I've always felt that you being there kept MSNBC in balance, not to mention just hearing your take on things always rounded out the conversation with your knowledge of history and politics. Plus, something that your detractors have missed - you are very funny! I totally agree with your friend Chris Matthews said about you last night at the close of Hardball and sincerely hope that you heard what he said. God bless you Pat and I will definitely read your book.
Best regards from Fishers, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. As a little side note, as an 18 year old sailor with the Executive Flight Detachment at MCAS Quantico, just to the south of you, I was part of the team that prepared Marine One for its trip to China with RMN in early 1972. I've alway been proud to have been a very small part of that. As a diehard political science/foreign policy student I have alway admired Mr. Nixon both for his acumen at foreign policy but also for the great things he tried to do for us domestically that, unfortunately, he is not remembered for. I'm glad that I do!
Take care Pat and know that you have a lot of friends out here across America!
Don't Always Agree
I don't always agree with your thoughts and ideas but often you strike a cord with me which makes me think harder about where this country and society is going. That's why I watch and listen to your commentary. I hope that's a value a new employer will understand. All the best
Shining light, seeking truth, encouraging fair discussion have never been part of the MSNBC lexicon. Their mission statement seems to satisfied only when crazy talk spills from the mouths of individuals like Sharpton and O'Donnell as each is allowed to spew their brand of class warfare and slanted commentary 5-hours a week (not including guest shots on other MSNBC programs). And so why I will miss you as the voice of reason on Morning Joe (pretty much the only MSNBC I can almost tolerate), I am confident I will be able to enjoy your on air discussions, elsewhere, very soon. Hang in there Mr. Buchanan and God Bless.
I am a democrat. Always have been and always will be .That said I will miss you, your opinions, humor, yes humor, and hold much respect for you as honest, steadfast, loyal and a great American.Take care and good luck.
See You Soon...
Pat: The Lord takes care of His own - another door will open and you'll be back doing His work. You'll see...love you, guy...Mike
Suicide of a Superpower
I watched you on the news today and as a person of european descent I have to say I totally agree with your point of view. It was revelating because I have too been thinking about the same subject. Everything that America is for all its power and stature as a dominating society is the product of the european (white) people's hard work and dedication to it and to no credit of any other race, culture, ethnic group or whatever you want to call it. The greatest fault is our lack of foresight. Democracy is what it is and will lead to an eventual desecration of the entire system unfortunately but whose fault is it?
this liberal likes you
dear MR.Buchanan when isee you on talk shows you are the only one on the right who will ever admit when the other side has a good point.some times i feel you say things on tv that are over the top but maybe it is because you understand its needed for ratings.but then i read your books and they are just amazing.one thing that i will say about you is you love this country a lot more than anyone now running for office.
I miss the former Morning Joe family - when you were there, Mr. Buchanan. Things have changed. You are missed. MSNBC has one great show and they had to go and mess it up. Just know that you are appreciated for your insights, humor and wit. As my kids would say, (and I never liked it) this sucks! God Bless you....
Your an Inspiration to all Americans
Keep up the good work! All good men persevere when they do not sacrifice their moral character under pressure. Good things are still in store for you sir. PS: Fox news? Ron
