As an American patriot I found Suicide of a Superpower quite unsettling, only because I believe you to be absolutely on target. I used to be hopelssly optimistic but have now lived long enough and seen enough to know that our course is more than likely set in stone. I mourn for the country that I love but in the end, our death will indeed be self inflicted. Sad.

Dear Pat thanks for leaving MSNBC,You just gave them credibility.I am just a cattle rancher here in Dakota, But I enjoy your insight and sense of humor. You are about as racist as a black Angus cow in a herd of Herefords, they wouldn\'t know the difference. Your Friend, Dave.

I was very surprised that Chris Matthews didn\'t come to your defense with MSNBC. Also that MSNBC took on that notorious anti-white bigot Al Sharpton. You\'re well rid of that gang . Find another network, but please, not FOX. I read your column regularly and like what you write. Any chance now that you have some leisure time of your coming and addressing our group Mid-Coast Forum on Foreign Relations when the weather gets better?. All the best.

I come from a long line of thinkers and I think you are the single voice for rational Americans among a litany of spineless journalists on television. If Mr. Murdoch gives you an offer, take it. Keep up the good fight. It is sad to see how totally pervasive PC has become at the expense of reality and common sense.

Pat, I was in NH in 1996 when you asked us to "mount up and ride to the sound of gun fire." My support, and shared faith in your views and values, has never diminished. Unfortunately, we seem to lack the very leadership you exhibit in our current field of presidential candidates. I hope some day that another will inherit your mantle and expound on a political ideaology more Americans agree with than a biased media suggests. Keeping the faith and still riding in the brigade. Cheers!

Deeply Concerned

Although I am an American Jew and a supporter of Israel, I have been a long term admirer of your intellect. You have consistently defended your values and spoken your mind. I am deeply concerned that you are portrayed as a racist and anti-semite. Condemning you as such is an assault on discourse and undermines the true battle to end racism and anti-semitism. I listened to your interview with Juan Williams and, as always, your unfiltered opinions gave dignity to the American ideal of discourse and debate. I hope you continue to cast light on the other side of the coin. Especially when I don't agree with you. Best of luck.

Thanks for helping me see the truth.

Thanks Pat for your courageous stands on the breakdown of our society. I've read four of your books and am looking forward to reading "Suicide of a Super Power". When I read "Day of Reckoning" and "The Unecessary War" I was hooked. I told my wife "the die is cast". I can never go back to the old way of thinking about our history and culture. Your books also led me to the Mises Institute. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I guess I'm a bonified Lbertarian now. I'm 67 years old and I finally get it. Also I believe many young people are getting it too.

Warmest regards, John McClelland

I hosted a radio talk show in San Francisco, for over 30 years, but never had a chance to interview Pat Buchanan. My loss. Pat is one of this country's most intelligent, clear-thinking, honest communicators.
The left will never quit hassling true conservatives, so it's best to expect it, and just roll on. God bless Pat Buchanan. Jim Eason

Check Wikipedia for Hyphenated Americans and the problems as early as 1898. Jesse Jackson fomented this again in 1988 to create separate societies. I am an American not a hyphenated American. 83 Yrs old. Two wars. Lvd RR.

Early support, circa 1991

I contributed $1,000 to your campaign, circa 1991, when you and your wife appeared at a hotel near the Atlanta, GA airport. Other attendees included conservative Atlanta business leader, the late Dillard Munford, who eventually passed on supporting you.
I am reading \"Suicide\" as I simultaneously read \"Travels of a T-Shirt\" a paen to Globalization, which is a required reading for my MS Marketing class at Georgia State University.
What is a commercially, successful, 80 year-old, son of Donegal parents to do to change the tide of Socialism and Globalization in the country I love and served honorably in the USN during the \"First Korean War\"?

Mike McDonald
PS
Proud to say that M&L helped Sam Nunn, a long, long shot get elected to the US Senate in 1972. Sam had the courage to say \"no\" to Desert Storm, a profile in courage, in opposition to Bushes and their ilk, especially the frog man, Phil Gramm, who was in the pocket of the Banksters.
Go Pat, Mike

Dear Mr. Buchanan,

I am a great admirer of your columns, your books and commentaries which often led me to wish that I could talk to you. You understand history the way I personally experienced some of it.
I frequently watch MSNBC, and still am angry that you became victim to organized censorship by the same elements who attempt to silence or discredit not only private persons, but especially public individuals like you, seeking blatant control of information. This same gang tries to intimidate anyone who does not follow their version of history -- a scheme for which my husband’s generation did not fight WWII!
Best wishes -- and I hope to continue finding your future commentaries and valuable analysis in other venues!

I used to joke that "Pat Buchanan has forgotten more than most people ever knew" and for decades I've admired your ability to carefully present a story and to respond to arguments. .
I'm very disappointed you're not on MSNBC. It was a large part of the reason I watched Morning Joe. I'm still a believer in you. (We met very briefly in Atlanta years ago, and don't regret in the least having voted for you.

Dear Pat,
Though I am a liberal Democrat and disagree with much of what you say I enjoy you on Morning Joe and Mc Laughlin. In reality speaking against Israel is a death sentence for anyone who speaks to the public. Were you not right on Iraq? Yes, and you are right on Iran. Fight on, you are entitled to YOUR religious beliefs too. Good luck you will be missed! Fight on!

Mr. Buchanan,
I am sorry for what happened at MSNBC. I believe silencing opposing views is not a good thing. I did not always agree with you and you at times made me very angry, but I do believe you presented your views honestly and sincerely, which I can not say about a number of other pundits. Good luck with all that you do. And thank you for always being yourself when you expressed your views.

This world and its leaders are totally screwed up. Families are broken and the idea of attending church services on Sunday has disappeared. Just bought your new book and looking forward to reading it. You were the only bright light on MSNBC and will be surely missed in the Finnerty household. As a retired Fed employee,it is painful but so true that my
beloved USA is in serious decline and so few people see it coming. Ayn rand hit the jackpot
with her analysis in \"Atlas Shrugged\". Hang tight and good luck my friend. Kevin Patrick Finnerty

My Husband and I Miss Your Input on Morning Joe

Feb 22, 2012 by Mary and John
City: Meredith •
State: NH •
Country: USA

As viewers of Morning Joe, mu husband and I look forward to your "take" on the many subject areas that concern the welfare of the American people. While political stance vary for the most part, we look forward to your articulate arguments, knowing they are based on your vast knowledge, knowing that your responses are nuanced, presenting the often ignored sides of a particular subject. Our local paper carries your column and we look forward to reading it each week. At the end of each column we may not agree with everything as you have expressed it, but we come away with a deeper understanding of the issue presented.

You are also a gentleman and conduct yourself accordinly. MSNBC is wrong. It is becoming very scary out here in our United States of America.

If they ask you to come back, come back. Not for them...but for us.
Thank you,
Mary and John

I am relieved to hear your voice of reason and common sense. Mr. Buchanan, I am so afraid and sad, as I witness the death of this great nation. I am 59 years old, life time republican, conservative, law abiding, tax paying, always play by the rules person. I have no Washington represention, from either party. No one cares. It is a most helpless feeling. I could never fathom this country as upside down, inside out, good is bad and bad is good. We are living Atlas Shrugged.
