Will miss you Pat!
Though I am a liberal Democrat and disagree with much of what you say I enjoy you on Morning Joe and Mc Laughlin. In reality speaking against Israel is a death sentence for anyone who speaks to the public. Were you not right on Iraq? Yes, and you are right on Iran. Fight on, you are entitled to YOUR religious beliefs too. Good luck you will be missed! Fight on!
I was sorry to hear what happened.
I am sorry for what happened at MSNBC. I believe silencing opposing views is not a good thing. I did not always agree with you and you at times made me very angry, but I do believe you presented your views honestly and sincerely, which I can not say about a number of other pundits. Good luck with all that you do. And thank you for always being yourself when you expressed your views.
Semper Fi Patrick
This world and its leaders are totally screwed up. Families are broken and the idea of attending church services on Sunday has disappeared. Just bought your new book and looking forward to reading it. You were the only bright light on MSNBC and will be surely missed in the Finnerty household. As a retired Fed employee,it is painful but so true that my
beloved USA is in serious decline and so few people see it coming. Ayn rand hit the jackpot
with her analysis in \"Atlas Shrugged\". Hang tight and good luck my friend. Kevin Patrick Finnerty
The only true American
Dear Mr Buchanan
Your books are all an eye opener , with the guts to tell it like it is
Please don't ever stop informing us you are the only one I trust
God bless you
My Husband and I Miss Your Input on Morning Joe
As viewers of Morning Joe, mu husband and I look forward to your "take" on the many subject areas that concern the welfare of the American people. While political stance vary for the most part, we look forward to your articulate arguments, knowing they are based on your vast knowledge, knowing that your responses are nuanced, presenting the often ignored sides of a particular subject. Our local paper carries your column and we look forward to reading it each week. At the end of each column we may not agree with everything as you have expressed it, but we come away with a deeper understanding of the issue presented.
You are also a gentleman and conduct yourself accordinly. MSNBC is wrong. It is becoming very scary out here in our United States of America.
If they ask you to come back, come back. Not for them...but for us.
Mary and John
God Bless Pat Buchannan
I am relieved to hear your voice of reason and common sense. Mr. Buchanan, I am so afraid and sad, as I witness the death of this great nation. I am 59 years old, life time republican, conservative, law abiding, tax paying, always play by the rules person. I have no Washington represention, from either party. No one cares. It is a most helpless feeling. I could never fathom this country as upside down, inside out, good is bad and bad is good. We are living Atlas Shrugged.
Keep on with the fight. I began following you in my college days back in the 1980's while watching crossfire. Since then I've purchased several of your books and voted for you during each of your presidential bids. You are my generations Goldwater eclipsed only by Ronald Reagan. Thanks for being the standard bearer of our message
stay \on TV
Pat I am sure one of the other TV stations will pick you up You are too well respected and controversial for them not to, if not FOX, then one of the Cable channels
If Link TV or Current TV was smart, they would have you on to debate them on certain issues On many issues you are concert with them such as a need to return to National Economics
I have been an ally of yours before and since visiting your home for a fund-raiser in the primaries v. 41 - and, the left press notwithstanding, I suspect you have many others.
Your separation from MSNBC further demonstrates that liberals have all but been replaced by leftists, doctrinaire in their views - anything but liberal. Who would have thought the days of Tip and Moynihan could be seen as nostalgic.
I expect you will keep writing and look forward to seeing you on the air again sometime soon. Fox, however well meaning, could use some bucking-up. Poor Scarborough is all but lost, perhaps you can throw him a line once you get re-established.
Please keep fighting the good fight - we need someone who can hit with both hands, especially now.
All the best to you and yours,
John P. Ley
The Best Thing I Can Say
The best thing I can say about the people at MSNBC is that they are simply intellectually inferior to Patrick J. Buchanan.
Love U Man
I'm a lefty, a tool and die maker and former member of three unions. But, I subscribe to
The American Conservative because I want to believe that there are thinking, caring conservatives that care about the future for themselves and their children. I also read Hitler, Churchill, etc... it was a great book.
You are a great writer and I am glad that you are no longer on MSNBC. I don't know if you are still on McCglaughlin's program, but let's face it the only reason you are is because he's a former priest and you still want guidance from the church, despite all their sins. (Former Catholic here.)
Find a site that will support you and I will support that site. Luv U Man.
Enjoy you ever week on PBS. Miss you on MSNBC
As a Progressive, I still agree with you on several issues. How do you "put up" with Eleanor? I rejoice when she agrees with you....
You are great
Keep up the good work, we are praying for you.
Which is your best book?
You have many books in print..and to be on target in "today's world"...I wish to get your best book written - ever. Can you answer?
I support you 110%..and pray that God continues to protect you..and flood you with "his" ideas for a better America - "today & tomorrow". Thanks Pat.
Go Forward BOLD
Pat, the Lord calls on us to be bold in our belief. BE BOLD!! DO NOT BACK DOWN!!! Call on all Christians to stand along side of you for our Christian American beliefs. We welcome foreigners to become Americans--which does have it's rules. UNLESS WE ARE QUIET AND THEY TAKE IT FROM US.
We are with you!
I know so many people who support you and feel like you are one of the few people out there who speak for us, and are able to provide the truth for us! Do not feel alone! May God Bless you and all the great work you do!!
You are absolutely correct, never give up
As i listened to you this am with Charlie Rose explain your position my heart said thank goodness we still have those who see and say the truth. It just seems that most are from the past 50s and 60s decade.
All I can offer is encouragement for you to never give up. I see this great experiment, created by great thinkers, many with strong spiritual depth rooted in love, mercy and God given freedoms beginning to crumble. Maybe not tomorrow but in my grandchildren lives.
May the God of love and mercy raise up leaders with the views of our founders and give the voters the wisdom to see it.
Pat, I had no idea why you were off MSNBC-just realized I hadn't seen you in a while. I am "progressive"; I believe in free speech and discourse. Very often disagree with you but not infrequently you "hit it on the head." Especially enjoyed you on "Morning Joe." Miss yr thoughts and feel MSNBC very wrong to dismiss you. I plan to tell them that. Chris Matthew did speak out. We met you in NH some yrs ago!
You give me hope and sadness at the same time
I read your most recent book and it gives me hope that we could have this dialogue and right the course of our nation before it is too late. Then I see the censorship of the left elites move into high gear and I fear that we will never right our ship. I have fought for and love our country and fear this land will soon be unrecognizable and unrecoverable. I fear your words will be a swan song and not a call to awakening.
Thanks for the honest debate.
Dear Mr. Buchanan,
I am a lifelong Democrat and I do not agree with most of your positions but I always respected your honesty and passion for our country. I enjoyed watching you debate others with passion and humor. I can see that your concerns are legitimate but our leaders do not address those issues.
Thank you for your voice because it is the differing viewpoints that make our country great and the clash of ideas that make solutions possible. Without voices like yours on the right and others on the left debating the issues on the merits, our country have even more problems. Thank you for being someone who cares about our whole nation, not just for the like-minded people that vote your way. Also, I do not like President Nixon (respect, yes) but I admire your loyalty to him. You are a true patriot.
As another Gonzaga Alum. keep fighting the for American values. Don't let these extremist destroy your voice of reason.
you were the fun part of watching MSBNC
Pat, I would watch MSNBC just to get aggravated then watch ORielly on FOX to see true fair and balanced. It was enjoyable watching you tear down those elitests, doing so with a sense of humor while the compasionate lefties fumed with anger. You are the reason I pay attention to politics, starting years ago with Crossfire. Hope to see you back on TV soon
Go Pat Go
Thank you for sticking to the truth. The left hates the truth as it is antagonistic to what progressives believe and want. Rather than engage you in a true argument, they attack you and seek to destroy you. What fools, the Truth is eternal and the left’s wisdom is head us to the infernal. You are a brave soul.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
I assume that MEET THE PRESS will still have you on their panels when David Gregory is seeking a conservative viewpoint. Or are he and others also to be disciplined? What are the MSNBC guidelines for permissible conservative spokesmen? I hope that this MSNBC decision will be the subject of public discussion among journalists and others who see a vigorous and frank contest of ideas as an asset that our media should strongly promote rather than discourage.
