You are absolutely correct, never give up
As i listened to you this am with Charlie Rose explain your position my heart said thank goodness we still have those who see and say the truth. It just seems that most are from the past 50s and 60s decade.
All I can offer is encouragement for you to never give up. I see this great experiment, created by great thinkers, many with strong spiritual depth rooted in love, mercy and God given freedoms beginning to crumble. Maybe not tomorrow but in my grandchildren lives.
May the God of love and mercy raise up leaders with the views of our founders and give the voters the wisdom to see it.
Pat, I had no idea why you were off MSNBC-just realized I hadn't seen you in a while. I am "progressive"; I believe in free speech and discourse. Very often disagree with you but not infrequently you "hit it on the head." Especially enjoyed you on "Morning Joe." Miss yr thoughts and feel MSNBC very wrong to dismiss you. I plan to tell them that. Chris Matthew did speak out. We met you in NH some yrs ago!
You give me hope and sadness at the same time
I read your most recent book and it gives me hope that we could have this dialogue and right the course of our nation before it is too late. Then I see the censorship of the left elites move into high gear and I fear that we will never right our ship. I have fought for and love our country and fear this land will soon be unrecognizable and unrecoverable. I fear your words will be a swan song and not a call to awakening.
Thanks for the honest debate.
Dear Mr. Buchanan,
I am a lifelong Democrat and I do not agree with most of your positions but I always respected your honesty and passion for our country. I enjoyed watching you debate others with passion and humor. I can see that your concerns are legitimate but our leaders do not address those issues.
Thank you for your voice because it is the differing viewpoints that make our country great and the clash of ideas that make solutions possible. Without voices like yours on the right and others on the left debating the issues on the merits, our country have even more problems. Thank you for being someone who cares about our whole nation, not just for the like-minded people that vote your way. Also, I do not like President Nixon (respect, yes) but I admire your loyalty to him. You are a true patriot.
As another Gonzaga Alum. keep fighting the for American values. Don't let these extremist destroy your voice of reason.
you were the fun part of watching MSBNC
Pat, I would watch MSNBC just to get aggravated then watch ORielly on FOX to see true fair and balanced. It was enjoyable watching you tear down those elitests, doing so with a sense of humor while the compasionate lefties fumed with anger. You are the reason I pay attention to politics, starting years ago with Crossfire. Hope to see you back on TV soon
Go Pat Go
Thank you for sticking to the truth. The left hates the truth as it is antagonistic to what progressives believe and want. Rather than engage you in a true argument, they attack you and seek to destroy you. What fools, the Truth is eternal and the left’s wisdom is head us to the infernal. You are a brave soul.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
I assume that MEET THE PRESS will still have you on their panels when David Gregory is seeking a conservative viewpoint. Or are he and others also to be disciplined? What are the MSNBC guidelines for permissible conservative spokesmen? I hope that this MSNBC decision will be the subject of public discussion among journalists and others who see a vigorous and frank contest of ideas as an asset that our media should strongly promote rather than discourage.
The "One-Side of MSNBC"
We'll this certainly proves you can't get the full or true story at MSNBC, but there has been many times I felt they slanted more to the left than the truth. I hope you will continue with a more Trustworthy and unbiased media source. Americans who require more than a one-sided view of a story will always need your points of view.
keep up the fight
Im 45 and I live in Phoenix, but I grew up in Pat's D.C., I read all his books, watched him on the Group for the last 30 years. My political outlook was greatly influenced by Pat in the 80's and I am forever thankful. I would love nothing more than to share a few drinks with Pat at the old McKeevers Pub in opP
in McLean and play a few games of darts.
God Bless Pat. I know you will find a venue soon.
A Blessed Politician
You always get between 4.9 and 5.0 stars out of a possible 5.0 stars Pat.
We have loved you so much and enjoyed your wholesome economic and political views. If only the rest of the country had, we'd not be in this mess. But then nations get the country the aggregate of their people deserve with exceptions.
You are one of those exceptions Pat. You are a great American hero and blessed politician. We GET it even if so many today, who are lost in ignorance, deceipt, and escapism do not.
Whatever your decision to do next is, we fully support you in it. 100%. Count on that. Peace and God bless you Pat.
keep up the good fight
I will miss not cing u on msnbc.I don't often agree wiyh U but I like hearing u'r point of view.U R honest and loyal,a great thing to be in this day and age.
You're Better Off Without Them
I have been a long-time follower and fan of your writing and while we may occasionally disagree, I have always found your input to be thought provoking and an always welcome component of a constructive conversation regarding the direction of the United States. I can't say much of the same for MSNBC (or cable news in general). The truth is, there isn't room in the propaganda market for the opinions of a man of your integrity and anyone of sense can determine immediately that this is more telling about the ideological purists at MSNBC than it is about your stellar career. I look forward to your future insights - keep fighting, Pat!
I'm not surprised, but I am saddened. It's a sorry day for freedom of speech in this country, to say nothing of free thought. I voted for you in the NH primary and I would, again. You speak the truth but the truth is not popular, today, in our Polyanna "everything-everyone-does-is-good" society. There are those who will shut you off and shut you down if you dare to have your own opinions, much less the nerve to express them [:-(
Always enjoy your discussions
DearPat, I have always appreciated your opinions and the way you explain them. I am a liberal. When you speak from your experience in politics and history, you always have unfailingly been richly informative. Thank you.
We need Counter Balance to Liberal Nazism
Dear Pat, knowing that you were fired due to pressure by the extreme left base on your book that points out the truth of liberal values wrecking the way we were raised and brought up and leading to us being the new apartheid; we need more people like you to stand up and fight against liberal nazism, the new ideological evil that will destroy all of humanity. Please do something about the Liberal Nazism ideology in America.
Sorry to see you go.
I am a staunch liberal, but I appreciated your views and your loyalty to your party. MSNBC did you wrong by this and I hope they rue the day. I wasn't a big fan of yours through the years, but your time on MSNBC changed my mind about you. I didn't agree with you but I respected your right to speak your mind, and you were always fair. I never got the feeling your were racist in any way. And now we are stuck with Michael Steele who doesn't seem to care about the party as much as you did. Farewell, I hope to see you again soon.
First Ammendment Blasphemy
First, Pat you are among the rare as your straight-forward cogent line of thinking is truly accurate. Unfortunately, many Americans fall into the PC trap and will not publicly concur - I find this cowardly.
It is evident that the Pelosi/Reid left fanatics are trying to systematically squeeze you out. This is based on fear and opposition to your visionary perspective. Herein lies a dangerous position and one which is gaining momentum. It is time that God fearing Christians must unite and promote the cause towards truth and dislosure in media and fight against the evil left and their agenda of censorship. May God Bless you and provide you with the strength and knowledge to continue the fight with more vigor than ever!
Yo Pat...You are THE BEST - You are TOO great for MSNBC - they are the loser - You are a winner!! Wherever You are - I'm listening!! and learning!!! and reading!!! Don't give up on us - your wisdom and wit are part of the fabric of America
Thank you for standing firm!
Pat, I stand with you in the fight to protect our freedoms and the saving of our great Nation. Your refusal to sacrifice the convictions you hold dear speaks volume. You did not forsake Him in front of men, and rest assured He will not forsake you. Live for the voice of Him saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." We are praying for peace, strength and blessings for you.
In the process of reading SUICIDE OF A SUPER-POWER. Extremely well done and I congratulate Mr.Buchanan. Publication of this book was well worth being fired from MSNBC. Now, they will surely become the great unwatched network. I especially enjoyed the quote by Pope John Paul II--A nation that kills its children is a nation without hope. Also, saw you recently on Hannity. Again, thanks for writing such an excellent book.
Keep telling the truth Patrick. We all love you and now there is not one good reason to ever watch MSLSD again.
This says something about the liberals and actually how really liberal their are not. Everyone is entitled to their opinion unless they disagree with you!
May the road rise up to you Patrick!
"Keep the faith"
I have no great words anyone will remember. I'm just a former ABC News VP who still believes in free speech, fair mindedness, freedom to speak whatever. I have not always agreed with Pat -- BUT, I will forever defend his right to say 'it.' Whatever it is. I'm not at all happy with MSNBC's treatment of Pat. It smacks of ... well, I'll let better writers craft a line. For me, it smacks of a not to subtle shuttle of a right wing sounding guy who just doesn't fit the MSNBC model of sponsors, bill payers. In short - it stinks. Big time! It's not so subtle blacklisting...the likes of which we haven't seen since the 60's.
I'm just a little guy but-- I hope the big guys rally before they get stampeded by the money guys who are only interested in what can sell.
Pat -- bed well, stay strong and may the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand.
Direction in Life
Hello Pat, I generally skim through articles when reading but I can never tear myself away from one of your articles. The inability nowadays to disagree with someone yet still have an agreeable conversation is absurd. You showed me to create logical, factual based arguments. Mostly though, you showed me that sometimes you will get demonized for it but to not lose sight of your goal. God Bless!
