The Chickens of Globalization Come Home to Roost

Jul 21, 2012 by Fred Porter
City: Seattle •
State: WA •
Country: United States

Mr. Patrick Buchanan,

Your article on the results of the farce called "free" trade is excellent. Unfortunately you are as "one crying in the wilderness". We have now reaped the consequences of "free" trade, and the Libertarians at the Cato Institute and most Americans still don't get it.

I am with President George Washington who knew what he had to do "Constitutionally" to get American industry and Americans working --tariffs.

Keep up the good work.

Best regards to you,

Fred Porter

I am so glad you are still writing. I disagree with most of your political views, but I truly enjoyed reading your \"Chickens come home to Roost\" article. I hope it isn\'t too late to turn this thing around for all of us and your voice is one of reason and substance. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts ~ you\'re still sharp as a tack...God bless you, LyndaMc

Glen Beck Radio Interview

Jul 20, 2012 by Pete
City: Fort Worth •
State: Texas •
Country: U.S.

Pat, Heard you on the Glen Beck radio show not too long ago and you sounded very stressed about the state of our country. Don't worry Pat, Our Nation still has a hard as steel majority of people who still believe in tradition. The media and the politicians are irrelevant to these people because they do not represent them any longer. A big wake up call is coming this November!

Unfaultering Love from Canada!

Country: Canada

Pat,

Since discovering you in early 2012, I have to say that I have not been able to stop reviewing the gifts you have offered the conservative ideology.

Yours words not only carry the burdens of logic and reason on their backs -- But the words themselves shift the axis of perspective, making every issue seem so clear and make so much sense.

You are amazing, Mr. Buchanan -- And I am proud to say I carry the grail of your ideas up here in the Frozen North.

entrepreneurs and affirmitive action

Dear Pat, would you please tell Warren and Obama that most entrepreneurs didn't receive assistance from affirmitive action, unless of course they had really high cheek bones and some old recipes.

P.S. I miss Crossfire!

"A Sight For Sore Eyes!"

Dear Patrick J. Buchanan, I was delighted to see you on the panel last evening 7/11/12, on "Special Report"! I haven't watched "Morning Joe" since your departure and when my curiosity flairs up, I check in with 'ol Joe Scarborough and his mates but it's joyless because the spunk is missing, that spunk being you! I went to "The Special Report" facebook page to make a comment about how pleased I was to see you, and of course, to read other comments as well. I'm happy to report that your appearance brought smiles to many and the objectors were far and few. I so hope to see you again soon on Fox News, as I think it's a splendid fit! Bravo Fox! Bravo Patrick J. Buchanan! Respectfully, Alessandra M. DeMarco Cromwell, Ct.

As a fellow alumnus of Gonzaga High School, I was thrilled to see on Special Report. Your discussion was incisive and went to the essential of the debate of the issue on the table. You demonstrated that the Jesuits gave us the foundation to analyze, think and make sound judgments and express them well. Go Eagles!

Thank you

Mr. Buchanan, thank you for your contributions to our great country. I have appreciated your wisdom for quite awhile. Your opinion is one I do seek out often. Maybe it's because I always agree with you! :)
I am unhappy with the way your recent joke/comment about women has been taken out of context. Liberal business as usual, making vulgar comments about Mother Teresa gets a pass, but make a joke about women! As a woman, I want you to know I find no fault at all with your remark, and anyone with common sense would see it as a lighthearted comment. If Bay gets worked up about it, then you have a problem! ;) I doubt she will.
God bless you, your family, and your work.
With appreciation,
Kathleen

Kind regards,

Dear Mr. Buchanan: I have read most all your books over the years and the best one comes to mind as I just finished it again for the 4th time "The Great Betrayal" I wish that all would read this book. Each time I read it I find something new. I still have a coffee cup "Go Pat Go" from a Pasadena California event in which Mr. Heston was there when you where running for President, My America would be a different place had you won! God Bless & keep on a writting!

Ideas and truth matter

Jun 23, 2012 by Bob
City: Mustang •
State: OK •
Country: USA

Thank you Pat. Thank you for being courageous enough to continue speaking the truth and challenging TPTB in the face of this massive smear campaign being waged against you today.

Ideas and truth matter. There is an eager audience for your work among the masses who are now awakening to the dangers at hand. They are looking around and asking themselves what happened? How did America fall so far so fast? What went wrong? Who is to blame? And more importantly, what do we do now?

The first step is understanding how we got here and to that end your work is invaluable. Thank you and best wishes from me and mine to you and yours.

November Election

City: Henderson •

Mr. Buchanan, I'm 69 years old, a Vietnam Vet, and very conservative. I have always voted Republican. You do not get it. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY! The Republicans have lost touch and are continuing the "good old boy" business as usual. I understand the consequences of my action, but "the people" may wake up after the next election, if not too late. Thank you Sir.

NO HELP IN SIGHT

Jun 21, 2012 by GREG OTT
City: FRANKLIN •
State: WI •

Mr Buchanan
I agree with most of your opinions. But with both political parties we have not following a Nationalistic Agenda, but a Fat Cat global one, we're screwed! Until we get a person like Thomas Jefferson back in the political arena who will fight for America all we can do is wave bye-bye to the strong, rich and thriving Country our fore fathers forged for us.

Chaos Theory

Jun 15, 2012 by J. Paige Straley
City: Hickory •
State: NC •
Country: USA

Hi, Pat!
What we have created in Iraq and Afghanistan is chaos, countries that are almost ungovernable. I believe that will likewise be the aim in Syria and Lebanon and Egypt.

Why chaos? Because it's easy to create, and out of chaos comes actual weakness so that threats are eliminated. Chaos also offers opportunities to stymie leadership and economic development. And cheap at the cost!

from a lifelong Democrat

City: Waynesville •
State: Georgia •
Country: USA

As a Democrat with roots back to the Johnson administration, it would seem strange that I usually agree with you. However, your political opinions transcend what has become the current two party trench warfare. I often forward your columns because, more often than not, I think you're right. Err, I mean "correct." In this devolving dark comedy of politics you end up as almost a moderate. Keep writing. I'll keep reading.

Applause and Regrets

Perhaps because of our shared Celto-Teutonic ancestry, I am much impressed by your thinking and the clarity with which you express your thoughts. My great regret is that you have been marginalized to a shrinking audience by an establishment that does not find that your thoughts promote their agenda. I find it impossible to refute your contention that the political structure of our nation today makes it impossible to successfully address the myriad problems that confront us. Virtually every member of the Congress knows that a vote for any measure that must be taken would make his or her re-election impossible. Consequently, those measures will not be implemented, thereby eliminating any question about a socioeconomic collapse and leaving only the question as to when.

The Morality Of Doing Nothing

Jun 07, 2012 by Dean H. Roney III
City: Copley •
State: Ohio •
Country: USA

I'm half way through Suicide of a Superpower. This is the second book by you that I have read. Your factual footnotes make me feel like I'm back in college again. The controversial material you speak of (diversity, forced equality, conflicts we should not be in) ring so true and so honest that I often find myself wanting to engage in spirited debate on these themes. But I do not dare unless I wish to be branded a racist homophobe. I wonder too, Pat, if your realizations that conflicts like Syria's latest slaughter can be ignored by civilized people like myself, as if it did not happen. What do we do with your words of truth other than read them and keep our agreeing opinions to ourselves...

Miss you on the "Joe" program. Speaking the truth is always costly. Now, drive the "silver stake" into the beast, Wall Street. Following the money always leads directly to the root cause. Regards.

Your voice is far too important not to be heard more often. Since you are not sure if you want to go back to having a daily show, maybe you can sound off on a weekly program to compliment your McLaughlin Group appearances. “PAT DOWN!”

E. O. Wilson

May 29, 2012 by Carl H. Middleton
City: Arlington •
State: VA •
Country: USA

Dear Mr. Buchanan
Your concern that multi-ethnic nations fragment unless a powerful culture binds them together has been intellectually validated by Mr. E. O. Wilson's The Social Conquest of the Earth (2012). To Wilson, our genetic biology impels us to identify with groups for which we will sacrifice--a highly positive factor in our social development. By the same token, we oppose groups different from the ones for which we will sacrifice. Wilson states that opposition to other ethnic groups is the primary way in which this duality expresses itself. He writes, "The worst in our natue coexists with the best..." Wilson's theory is powerful support for your position. Carl H. Middleton

Dear Pat,

Your book "Suicide of a Superpower" is an impressive, compelling, persuasive and scholarly work! I just finished reading it last week.

You are doing all Americans a service by writing this book. You are one of the few people that understands what is going on and has the courage to express it. A message that GE wants to censor.

Please keep up the good work!

Thank you,

PS Great to see you on the John Stossel show May 19, 2012
