While Pat Buchanan remains the inspiration for this website, and we remain proud members of the Brigades, with our new features and format we intend to expand our coverage and conversation into more issues and areas, beyond those covered in Pat’s writings and speeches.
Hence, this website will no longer serve as the official website of Pat Buchanan.

Answer:
- Since 1995, Buchanan.org is owned and operated by Linda Muller. While Pat Buchanan is our inspiration, he is not editor, publisher, or manager, and does not decide any of the content.

- Visitors who take issue with comments or content on this website are encouraged to refute them with facts that counter the argument. Comments are accepted at the bottom of most article pages. All concerned are urged to use this feature.

- I do not want to write a comment and I don’t want anyone else to read the information you have on this website!

- Censorship goes against our Founding Fathers belief in freedom of speech, which is a fundamental right that applies to all of us – even to those whom we disagree. Thus, we provide an opportunity for all to express their opinion.

- Why do members of some organizations work behind the scenes to ruin careers and shut down websites?
Answer:
- I believe they are fearful of the American people and their right to know all sides of an issue, so their objective is to stifle debate by targeting opponents with blacklists, boycotts and censorship.

- I want to order autographed copies of Pat Buchanan’s books. I also want Pat to personalize a few books for my friends. Where is the best place to get them?

Tech and Website Questions
Question:
- Help! I already registered but can’t log in anymore to post a comment!
Answer:
- Make sure you use the same upper and lower case letters you used when you first registered. For example if you registered with the User Name, “BIGBOY” – don’t try to log in with, “BigBoy” – it won’t work. Same goes for your email address.
Question:
- I’m using the “EMail This Post” feature at the bottom of an article, but received an error message that I did not enter the correct, “Image Verification.” I know I entered the correct letters and numbers, what happened?
Answer:
- Make sure you use the exact upper and lower case letters that you see in the “image” window. For example if it shows “4TMC3Q” – don’t enter, “4tmc3q” – it won’t work.

- I wrote a comment but it did not post on the website. Are you censoring free speech?
Answer:
- We have a few basic guidelines for comments posted on our site. This blog has an automated filter set up to put some comments on temporary hold until I can review them. Foul language, links and certain words may trigger the filter.
Question:
- Sometimes it seems to take forever for my comment to show up on the website. What gives?
Answer:
- Again, it’s the filters I have set up. Because this is Buchanan.org, we get more than our share of spammers. In addition, there are members of the “false opposition” who are paid to write offensive comments on patriot websites like ours. Then they scream to the corporate media about the “obscene” or “deplorable” comments on the website. The media then uses this opportunity to discredit website and those associated with it.

- Can I add links in my comment?
Answer:
- Adding links to other websites will also put your comment on hold. There are two reasons to review links before they are posted on our site:– We do not want to boost sales for unscrupulous vendors– Long links, that is, links with more than 20-25 characters in them throw the design of our site into disarray. The result is that the long links forces the article down to the bottom of the screen. If you want to include a link longer than 25 characters, please use a program such as Tiny URL to reduce the size. Please keep it down to one link per comment.

- I wrote a comment and it made it past the filter but it was removed. Are you censoring free speech?
Answer:
- Rarely. As webmaster I make most of the decisions on this website, and that includes content. There are a few reasons why a post might be removed including: It was written in ALL CAPS which is difficult to read and it annoys me; the comment was off-topic from the subject of the article; it was just too darn long – keep it brief; or it was personally inflammatory toward others.

- Why do I need to log in to read the articles?

- No need to log in unless you want to write a comment.
