WebNote: Site Almost Restored
Dear Brigade,
As you can see we are almost back to normal. I’m still adding plugins, configuring the site, and need to re-install the custom theme. I will also go through the site looking for any bad code still lurking deep inside our files. One piece of bad news is that I have removed the Forum. The developer of the Forum plugin [software] has not updated it for over a year. Thus, it may have been one of the ways hackers were able to attack our site. If there are enough requests, we may install another type of Forum for your use. Stand by!

I’ve really missed not being able to log on to the website. Thanks a million for getting it back (almost) for us loyal Buchanan fans. The forum is very important for different topics, views and opinions. I am am politely requesting that it be restored. I miss seeing my buddies and all their comments - good and bad.
Does anyone know who hacked the site or why it was hacked?

Yeah, this site has to be protected. I have tried to post on Arianna’s site and it almost always gets edited out for no reason except that the thought police over there dont like where the post is going. Then again Arianna is OK, but she’s no Pat Buchanan!! Maybe mainsream advertising would help with this site, I dunno.

Yes, thanks Linda for working so hard to restore Pat’s website, it is one of the few places Americans can gather to discuss world events without the mindset of the mainstream media. Very refreshing.

While I agree with a lot of what a ‘rpratt63′ said, on a PJB post above, about the futility of internet postings and also agree (rarely) and only to a point, with ‘Rodfish’s’ cynical reply and view that if your not on TV your irrelevant, I have to say that the internet is a good tool for debate and to EXPOSE…nuff said!

Unfortunately, the “free” programs are not very secure. Rev12, the link you suggested for a Forum uses VBulletin. http://www.vbulletin.com It is an excellent forum software. The cost is $180 plus $150 if I need help installing it [which I hopefully won't need]. In addition, I can use some some help with volunteer moderators. Let me know.
Fran: I am sure dialup works fine for vbulletin. Now we need a sponsor. Who’s got $180?

Thank you Fran, always good to hear from you! Keep me up to date on the run-off in Georgia. The Minnesota fiasco is ridiculous but I hope you have a great holiday. I see Rodfish has already passed along his holiday cheer. It’s very disheartening that we are entering a period of extreme turmoil but we must keep on chin up and keep fighting the good fight because I believe the fight is only about to begin and yes there are some very pressing issues I hope we all can soon address?

Linda, bring back the forum !
The forum just needs some full time moderators to keep the liberal trolls and hate mongers from infesting the forum. These kind of low life’s already have their own website and it’s called Moveon.org.
As for the hackers, hackers are a lower life form than a coyotes who smuggles illegal aliens across our border. Liberal hacker are even a lower life form than a slave trader of children for the international sex trade.

A shop worker was trampled to death when hundreds of American bargain hunters stampeded through the doors at the opening of a superstore sale this morning.
The stock clerk was bowled over as he tried to hold back the unruly crowds.
As he gasped for air, witnesses said shoppers swarmed over him, stepping on him and pushing him back down as he tried to get out of the way.

A pregnant woman also reportedly miscarried after being knocked to the ground in the melee.
Before police shut down the Wal-Mart store in Valley Stream in Long Island, New York, shoppers continued to stream past emergency crews as they fought desperately to save the fallen worker’s life.
‘They’re savages,’ said shopper Kimberley Cribbs, 27. ‘It’s said. It’s terrible.’
‘He was bum-rushed by 200 people,’ said another shop worker Jimmy Overby, 43. ‘They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down, too. I literally had to fight people off my back.’

Witness Jessica Keyes told the New York Daily News that she saw the pregnant woman barged down a few feet from the dying worker.
‘When the paramedics came, she said, ‘I’m pregnant.’ But then the medics told her, There’s nothing we can do – the baby’s gone,” she said.
The tragedies happened during America’s traditional ‘Black Friday’ shopping spree when shops around the country boast big discounts and open as early as 4am for shoppers eager to take advantages of prices slashed by as much as 80% for televisions, furniture and designer clothes.
With the US economy in dire straits and consumer spending plummeting, retailers desperate for business slashed their prices even lower than usual.
The death at the Valley Stream Wal-Mart happened moments after the doors were opened at 5am. Last year, the store was the second-biggest grossing Wal-Mart in the country.
But it was closed for hours as police investigated the incident. The Nassau County Medical Examiner had not confirmed the cause of death last night.

The only valid reason for censorship
is foul language (obscenity and
vulgarity) and you do not need
moderators to do that.
It can be done with CGI.
Anything else is censoring content
and I do not want anything to do
with a forum which does that.
We get enough of that from the
“mainstream media”. People
who surf the net are sick of
that kind of thought control.
