Time magazine may have named Barack Obama Man of the Year for 2012, but in a first-ever honor, WND<\/strong> today named Patrick Buchanan as the WND<\/strong> Man of the Year, honoring the stalwart of conservative thought for his incisive and insightful contributions to the America of economic, military, political and social influence.<\/p>\n

He has been adviser to three presidents, a two-time candidate for the Republican<\/strong> presidential nomination himself, served as the presidential nominee of the Reform Party<\/strong> in 2000 and churned out six straight New York Times<\/strong> bestsellers, including \u00e2\u20ac\u0153A Republic, Not an Empire,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Death of the West,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Where the Right Went Wrong<\/strong>,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153State of Emergency,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Day of Reckoning\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Churchill, Hitler and The Unnecessary War.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
