Thank You for a GREAT Book!
\"Suicide of a Superpower\" is a powerful, brilliant book .... coming a the perfect time. I found myself nodding in agreement to EVERYTHING you wrote. Raised an Episcopalian, I\'m not much of a believer now ... But I truly believe in every word you wrote about the importance of the Christian religion to American (as we knew it). You got across the proper amount of urgency. Things probably have gone too far, and it\'s maybe too late .... but, by golly, we might have a chance to save our country.
Thank You for speaking out so elegantly!
Blair S. Edwards, M.D.
Just a note to say I do not support the efforts to have you removed from MSNBC. I do not support the censorship of thought or ideas in the press or public forums and find this attack against you based in the politics of \"Political Correctness\" wrong and unfair. I don\'t have to agree with everyone I hear but want everyone to always have the right to speak their minds in the \"public square\" which cable news is a large part of. What\'s next? Deny you the right to own a web site? I\'ll decide for myself what I listen to, read, and think and want access to all forms of opinion to help shape my own. By the way; I\'m a Democrat. And after reading about the P.C. attack on your new book...payday I\'m going to buy your new book. Keep disagreeing with many of my beliefs and thoughts for many years to come, Mr. Buchanan; because it\'s good for me to challenge myself in hearing and reading them and it\'s good Democracy to do so.
Go Pat Go Rally from 1996
Pat, C-Span gave me permission to post on YouTube your Go Pat Go Rally the night before the 1996 New Hampshire Primary. Among other things, you predicted the loss of American jobs due to those trade deals that didn\'t look out for the workers. Search for Go Pat Go Rally on YouTube. I was so proud to stand with you!
Thanks for looking out for the workers, Pat. There is nobody with your courage in politics today.
Telling It Like It Is
Takes a lot of guts to go out and tell it like it is. Hope to see you as President someday.
WAMU Tuesday - October 25
Sir, I am a lifelong DC resident and artist with Roman and Ukrainian Catholic/Polish German American family history that I have come to proudly appreciate more and more since my father\'s passing. I continue to work in the family business my father began over 40 years ago in NW DC.
I still have the \"Run Pat, Run\" t-shirt I purchased in 1992 when I first came into a more political/social awareness and have run the gamut from democrat/independent to republican.
and yet I also recognize and appreciate my family\'s progressive mid-western Democratic values and history.
I appreciated your calm yet undeniably earnest interview on NPR\'s WAMU morning show. I compliment you and your skills to stay above the fray thru whatever slings and arrows tied up the phone lines, denying me a chance to thank you for your appearance on the radio and your new book. I look forward to reading it! And just want to offer what encouragement I can that there ARE younger persons in your audience that truly take your point of view to heart.
God Bless you and good luck in the future.
P.S. I enjoy your repartee to the John McLaughlin Group!
I\'m glad to see you\'ll be on O\'Reilly tonight, I miss seeing you because I deleted MSNBC from my TV, I just couldn\'t watch that channel anymore, it was mostly to see you.
Your \"Suicide\" book was your greatest. The power to correct all the problems our country is experiencing is in the hand of our Congress. Yet since FDR\'s reign, Congress has steadily led our country down the slope into this maelstrom over the will of the American people -- even while the Republicans were in control of all three divisions of our government. This begs the question, \"Who really is running our country?\"
Hi Pat... Met you several years ago when you came to Okalona, MS. You came to the NMMC Wellness Center and I was impressed with you as I had followed you on CNN Television then. I saw and heard your ideas on CNN tonight and I am in full agreement with you on how things will possibly measure up for Libya~~!! I truly hope your ideas will materialize toward a better relationship with all involved with the hopeful progress with countries in the middle East. Instead too, I am praying our country never goes into a Third Word Country status as I was also told in a history class in the early 1950\'s as per the rivalry between the USA and the USSR..... really strange the parallel of the times! Its nice seeing you again on the BigTube! Jim.. the Gem of the Gym...LOL
You are so right on many things however I do not think you see just how bad the American economy will become. The best answer to this is Ron Paul but he may prove to be unelectable which means we are destine to go through a civil war and break apart like the USSR did based on economics.
Dear Mr. Buchanan I think your amazing. I listened to your interview and will be watching on GBTV there is hope with men like you out there.
Thanks for speaking the Truth on Coast to Coast!
We as a nation can not change if we are not able to see the problem.
Good Old Pitchfork Pat
Always been a fan. The new book is amazing, yet deeply sad; really the epitaph on the West's gravestone. Deo vindice.
Please please please PLEASE.... Run for president!!!!!!
Thank you very much for all the hard work you do researching and composing your various articles. I learn so much from you and enjoy reading your work on a daily basis. The highlight of my day is visiting your site and finding you have posted a new article, please don't ever stop! You are the greatest source of truth and insight into issues that I've yet found. Please never give into the pressure from all those media clowns to be more "PC", they don't speak for the majority of us. And please never retire, we won't let you! Glad I live in the same town as you, always hoping to one day see you around.
We Won\'t Make it 10 More Years
Pat Congrats on your new book I await its arrival. However, I don\'t think America will make it for 10 more years I think our huge missteps in the economic area and the looting of the country by the Financial sector is going to cause an economic collapse here and bring on a mini dark age here and abroad. The dollar is on the verge of collapse I can see nothing but chaos here in California, and I can see nothing but race wars all over this nation - Hispanic and Blacks against each other, and both those against Whitey. I have embedded myself in Occupy OC (Orange County, CA ) and if they had the time, I think these young kids could straighten this nation out with more enlightenment, but there is not enough time for them to get in power.
Thanks for your prior work, Pat, and your run for Pres, three times, That took a lot of effort, but between the media and a dumbed down and preoccupied population, and vote manipulation, your chances of winning were always slim You are a great Patriot.
Killing of America
From the very onset, its been apparent that Obama is trying to destroy our country. if only he would operate on a budget like we do,we could save this country. I give George Bush part of the blame. Undeclared wars are unlawful and this should be stopped. 90 percent of war is for the military industrial complex. I appreciate you lending a ear.
I thank you for your years of work for America, and I wish so much that we could again return to the values you preach. The loss of God being a central point for us to keep our eyes upon as a nation has been devastating. I am thankful for men like you and my father and those from the generations in which America was on it\'s way up! We need you to keep marching ahead with the truths you promote! Thanks
Love to Read Your Books
I\'m awaiting your new book. I am a big fan of your previous books. Thanks for writing another blockbuster!
Book Looks Great!
Your upcoming book looks phenomenal and crucially important. Thank you for fighting the good fight and for saying what no one else will. I'll be reading. Best wishes!
Suicide of a Superpower
Pat. This is what keeps me awake at night. There is not one thing you mention that we do no empirically see unfolding before our eyes. Logic tells us there is no other conclusion. We lived in the Best of Times. The Worst of Times for the United States of America are just around the corner. And we blissfully and busily carry on our daily toil continuing to ignore reality. It is having \'Skin in the Game\' that made America possible and brought America to where it was. It already is a \"Was\". I thought of congratulating you Pat for telling what is so obvious to so many of us students of History. But it grieves me too much, so Thank You will have to suffice. Fair Winds and Following Seas as we slide down into the Abyss of Mediocrity.
Suicide of a Superpower
I just read the latest book announcement (and some excerpts) in Drudge Report. Can't wait until Tuesday to get my copy. It looks like one more time Mr. Buchanan has hammered the right nail. I hope this book will be heeded as a wake-up call.
The reviews and analyses alone of Mr. Buchanan's new book almost made me tear up in rage. Sir, you're tapping into a long suppressed concern those of us who are aware have. Though I'm 28 and I'm pretty sure my generation is a waste in terms of recognizing these things, it still is nice to hear for the first time an unafraid and eloquent voice.
"Suicide of a Superpower"
Dear Mr. Buchanan:
I have only read excepts of your new book on the Drudge Report, and I can already say with certainty that it will be one of the most insightful books I will ever read. Definitely a very provocative and truthful analysis!
Amen, Brother Buchanan
Every time I read one of Mr. Buchanan\'s articles, I want to stand up and shout, \'Amen, brother.\' What a shame Mr. Buchanan was never elected to a leadership role.
Low Wages is the Culprit
No one is addressing the Core reason the economy is collapsing. The core reason is that Demand is collapsing, And Demand is collapsing because on a national scale, American Worker Wages (non-supervisory), have been sinking yearly since the early 1970\'s. Why have wages decreased? Simple. Wage scale is always a function of the Law of Supply and Demand. The policies that both parties placed upon the nation literally guaranteed low wages nationally. For those from Rio Linda let me be specific, When the economic situation is created whereby the number of Jobs available is decreased, but the number of people that need jobs is Increased, Low Wages is guaranteed, ie Too many people chasing too few jobs makes for low wages - common sense reasoning...
So what is the solution, Completely Reverse Engineer the policies that got us into this mess in the first place.
