You Are Missed Already!
I have read a few of your books, and learned so much about the world in doing so. You have taught me world history. I may agree or disagree, but you present a tangible argument at every turn and then some! I am disgusted that that liberal outlet, MSNBC, has taken you off due to your recent assertions in your recent book. They are really off the deep end now! First it was having Olberman on, then Chris Matthews showing his underskin, then giving Sharpton a stage {remember him in a jump suit!},-what next? Oh yeah, to get rid of you! Now they are complete! It's an outrage. Please continue on McClaughin Group, and other outlets. You are the best!!!
Stay faithful.
I have always liked listenning to you. Keep up the good fight. Perhaps in other venues you will be able to finish your thoughts, rather then getting cut off by people who refuse to listen. We already know who wins in the end. Bless you.
Keep finding your voice
Keep finding your voice. There are too few willing to say what is politically incorrect to say when it is the truth. It is too bad for such censorship. That you care about our NATIONAL (not global) identity matters. The truth will set us free.
My Best Wishes to You, Pat
Dear Pat,
I was sorry to hear that you were leaving MSNBC. I am what you would be term to be a liberal. I am certainly left of center. AND I have thoroughly enjoyed your insight on a continuous basis on MSNBC...on Morning Joe...on Hardball...etc. You helped me understand both sides of an issue, and I am grateful to you. You are a good citizen...a great citizen. I wish you the very best, Pat...my very very best. Take care--Chris
Protestant Minister
Hello Pat. I just finished your fantastic new book "Suicide of a Superpower." God bless you for being a genuine and uncompromising conservative. Surely your voice will be heard on another network such as Fox if even they have the courage to help you. My prayers are continually with you and your work.
Pat,
I am the left, indeed the far left. And I have been your biggest supporter regarding the MSNBC decision. If I wanted to hear what I already know, there would be no reason to watch "the news". I may disagree with many of your positions, but I have loved your historical perspective, your intelligence, and your eloquence. Don't blame "the left". You have a lot of fans out here. Shame on MSNBC.
Smartist Political Commentary
Oh how I miss you on Morning Joe. The chance to hear your annaysis of current political events, disecting tactics and strategies of campaigns was the only thing that kept me watching!
Miss Your Intellect & Laughter
Mr. Buchanan,
I am a faithful MSNBC watcher but I sure wish they would reconsider your departure. I also am a white liberal Democrat who enjoyed listening to you debate with honesty, intellect & humor. I may not have agreed with you very often but I respect you for staying loyal to your beliefs.God Bless you..I wish you all the best..KEEP THAT TWINKLE IN YOUR EYES!! There was times it got to this ole hardcore Democrat..
Gone but never forgotten
Pat, you are an American patriot and a hero. You may not be perfect, but who is? I enjoy MSNBC because I believe understanding both sides of an issue leads to a more informed opinion. Obviously, MSNBC does not share that point of view.
All the best in your future endeavors.
Say It Isn't So!
I'm a lberal and have been proud to be as It is my interpretation of being a Christian . There were so many years that your commentary would set my hair on fire. There were so many times my Mother would bring your arguments to the proverbial kitchen table...and I would argue back. She is gone and your style has mellowed. I have so enjoyed your counterpoint on MSNBC because you have been a major part of the modern conservative movement - you have known the people & their foibles - you are.one of few credible pundits. I want you on MSNBC! They need your perspective...we need your perspective in order to temper ours. Please figure out how to reverse your decision and theirs...I want you back!! Something my Mother would have wanted too. Peace be with you!!
You're a good man
You\'re dismissal at MSNBC is another example of the power of the Israeli lobby in the United States. Anyone who appears to be open minded on Middle Eastern affairs is targeted. A liberal myself, I have always respected your point of view, and I have an admiration for the positive things President Nixon accomplished. You are a good man, and I hope to see more of you on other networks.
So long...
I'm a middle man, Democrat/Republican depending on who is running.
While I don't agree with many of your social issues, I sure as hell agree with your right to talk about them. MSNBC is making a mistake having simply liberal folks. Sure, FOX is totally right wing and they're the big ratings kings (1/3 that of Spung Bob Square Pants!) but it sure would be great to really hear both sides of the issue somewhere. Why do people just want a parroted view of what they already believe? So boring.
Disgraceful
Please continue to restore this nation; we need people like you. I don't want MSLSD to hire you as one person suggested - people need to see the utterly disgusting bias these organizations have toward the left and hate for the right. Journalism is dead and I hope this further harms their already terrible ratings. I would like Rupert Murdock to hire you instead. God Bless Mr. Buchanan!
Shame on MSNBC
Pat, I have been a liberal and a conservative and my respect for you was always the same. I will miss you on MSNBC; your sunny disposition and ready laugh kept debates civil, and clearly, you never let ideology interfere with your humanity and respect for others. I truly wish the same could be said for your critics; they are nothing but totalitarians. Shame on Phil Griffin; shame on MSNBC; shame on ADL and shame on Color of Change. They have won their battle, but we are all the losers for it.
I Love You
Dear Pat,
I LOVE YOU!!! Please don't change one bit!! I am an American of Lebanese descent and very proud of my heritage. Over the years, I have looked to you for fair, un-biased commentary re: Lebanon and the middle east. It is so rare to find someone like you...truly unafraid to speak the truth. I simply adore you!!!
A liberal admirer
You will be missed at MSNBC. It's their loss more than yours. Wish you would team up with PBS on a policy show. I have always admired your intelligence and articulate manner. Though I've never agreed with all you say, I listen attentively with an open mind. You are a bedrock conservative, a purist in the mode of Goldwater and Buckley. The country needs more conservatives like you. I tip my hat!
Rock On!
Dear Mr. Buchanan,
I truly miss not seeing you on the air. You are a brilliant and good natured fellow. I'm not a fan of MSNBC but I enjoyed listening to you on the silly MOJO show....you were, at times, the only grown-up on the set! I miss your good humored chuckle when you took incoming from some of the looney left.
Rock on, Mr. B. Hope to see you soon down the dial.
Best Wishes to a true patriot!
MSNBC go to hell
Great job Pat, You are A GREAT AMERICAN!!!
Cant believe MSNBC caved
I am a 71 year old white liberal Roman Catholic Democrat. I agreed with very little of what you said but I usually enjoyed hearing you say it. I think MSNBC has made a mistake. Different points of view presented usually without shouting is what I like about MSNBC. The fair and balanced network says they present different views but the democrat ones are few and far between and are very weak. You were a stong advocate for your beliefs. Again, I dont agree with you but I am sure going to miss you
Another Note of Support from a Liberal
Pat - I am a liberal, but I read all your books because of your love for America, grasp of history, powerful argumentation, and exceptional writing. Although I usually don't agree, they expand my mind. Morning Joe won't be the same without you.
I am angry
I am a very liberal, senior female and, yes, I am a white Christian. I don't always agree with your positions, but I feel angry that MSNBC has prevented you from stating these positions. You are intelligent and your ideas are not 'off the wall' but well thought out. I hope that this censoring has the same back lash as Juan Williams' firing did.
Ruth Vanorio
You will be missed
Pat!
My wife and I have been watching Morning Joe for several years, as it was the only program that had some balance between the parties and political views. My wife leans left of center, and I am definitely right of center. While Joe S. is inconsistent in his views, and the other hosts and guests are overwhelmingly liberal, I could always count on hearing well thought-out, common sense commentary from you! You will be greatly missed! Anyone who now believes that Morning Joe is anything other than liberal entertainment masking as centrist commentary, is not realistic. Joe S. should be ashamed!
SO SORRY
It is not a crime to be a White Christian, but it soon will be.
So sorry your voice has been silenced by the great liberals who are all for tolerance as long as it is lockstep with the leftist agends.
Keep up the good fight!
Dear Mr Buchanan.
I want to thank you for all that you have done for this great country of ours. The only thing worse then you not being on the air to spread the word is the fact that we never got to see a Buchanan Presidency. I hope and pray that you continue to talk in your special way to the masses. You truly are a true American hero!! I know the founding Father's are smiling down at you. regards, John Handfield III
Mr. Buchanan
My condolences for your situation at MSNBC. Although I am a Democrat, I sympathize with anyone who loses their job. Although I disagree with most of your views, you certainly should have the right to express them. I will say that the recent over-abundance of hateful and extreme language used by many Republicans regarding our President and even his wife have created an environment that does not allow much room in the media public arena for your additional right-leaning points of view. Ordinary people whether Democrat or Republican or other, are tiring of this, and are looking for basic common decency as well as due respect for our President. I am suggesting that your recent views were the "straw" that broke the camel's back, a back over-loaded with previous Republican incendiary, rude, and hateful rhetoric. In effect, you were a victim of this rhetoric as well. I lost my job awhile ago, and I know many others who have as well, and anger is an understandable first reaction. My advice is that you forgive, pull up your pants, learn from what happened, and go forward again. You are obviously very intelligent - the public is generally forgiving - and although I wish you would lean a little more Democrat, I hope that we hear from Pat Buchanan again in the near future.
