Comments and Letters to Buchanan.org

Dear Pat,
I am a die hard Democrat. This being said, after listening to you on MSNBC and The McLaughlin Group, I find myself agreeing with you more and more about foreign policy especially Iraq and Iran. Have you become more liberal or I more conservative? I don’t think so. Perhaps there is a chance for the left and the right to to find a solution to this mess. I look forward to hearing more of your views.
~~ Mitch Kassel

Dear Pat,
I simply felt compelled to say how much I have admired you through the years. From the early days (for me) on Crossfire to now, you have always presented clear and common sense positions with civility and class. Despite your inability to reach the White House, you are clearly among the finest minds in America today. If I can offer anything in return to you, it would simply be the affirmation of an admirer that your counsel to the nation and the world has profound relevance. Be always mindful of the high place to which you have been endowed.

Stay in the game to your dying day, a confounded world needs your perspicuity and sensibility.
~~ Jim Hurst

Pat,
We the people, thank you for your service to your country in giving us a voice that we may not otherwise have. Over the years, I have seen your positions on various issues miconstrued, misquoted and some people just downright repeat the same old lies expoused by Republican (NeoCon) and Demcratic pundits. Thank you.

A loyal Buchanan Brigader from East Tennessee.
~~ Greg Sexton

Dear Mr. Buchanan,
I just wanted to say to you that, while I often disagree with your views, I always respect your words.

As a long time viewer of “The McLaughlin Group”, I am often surprised to find myself agreeing with a good deal of what you have to say. I have only recently become a ‘webhead’ and have only a passing familiarity with your writings, but you exhibit clarity in your thoughts and, in this age of ‘bloviating’ and vitriol-spewing, a refreshing reserve and gentlemanliness.

While this may not be the most appropriate place for me to send this letter, it expresses thoughts that I have had for some time. I try to listen to voices on all sides of any debate before I form my own opinions, and you, sir, are my ‘conservative’ of choice.
~~ Sincerely, Bob Rutledge

I’m basically a liberal, but I agree with just about everything Pat says on foreign policy, which is perhaps not too surprising. But I also enjoy reading everything he writes, period, even when I vehemently disagree. He is one of the few pundits who is truly informed and truly a thinker, rather than a superficial, second-tier partisan like so many others. His criticisms of liberals and liberal thinking are often valid.
~~ Benjamin Root

Mr. Buchanan,
Although I do not always agree with you, you are the most thoughtful political commentator of our times. I look forward to your books and frequent appearances on MSNBC and PBS.

Your insights – and refusal to adhere to the party line – are always refreshing. Thank you, sir.
~~ Andrew Mancini

Dear Pat,
Until recently I believed what the media and the GOP hacks said about you. This year I began reading all your books and your columns every week. If only I knew then what I know now, I would have worked tirelessly to help your presidential campaigns. I feel cheated. I wish I could slap a lawsuit on those who lied to the American public in order to make you seem like a bad choice for President. I fear you were our last hope.
~~ Barbara Lippman
