State of Emergency:
The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America
By Patrick J. Buchanan
In STATE OF EMERGENCY, Pat Buchanan charges Mexico City with an Aztlan Plot, a conscious campaign to use American as a dumping ground for its poor and unemployed, to relieve social pressure at home and effect a re-annexation of the American Southwest. “La Reconquista,†the re-conquest by Mexico of the lands lost in the Texas War of Independence and Mexican-American War is underway, Buchanan charges, and President Bush is guilty of an impeachable dereliction of duty in his failure to defend America from the greatest invasion in human history. If this invasion is not stopped, Buchanan writes, America will be finished as a nation.
The Invasion
- Each month, the Border Patrol apprehends more illegal aliens breaking into our country – roughly 150,000 – than the entire number of troops we have in Iraq.
- Between 10 and 20 percent of all Mexicans, Central Americans and Caribbean people have already moved into the United States.
- There are 36 million immigrants in the United States, and as many illegal aliens, 12 million, as all the English, Irish and Jewish immigrants who ever came to America over 400 years.
- One in 12 people entering the U.S. illegally has a criminal record.
- By 2050, there will be more than 100 million Hispanics concentrated in a Southwest most Mexicans believe was stolen by the United States and belongs to Mexico.
- Mara Salvatrucha, MS-13, the most vicious gang in the Western Hemisphere, now has 6,000 members in the D.C. area.
- Diseases once stamped out in America, like drug-resistant TB, syphilis, and leprosy, and others that have never appeared here, like Chagas disease and dengue fever, are surfacing in city after city.
- In Los Angeles, 95% of all warrants for homicide, 1200 to 1500, target illegal aliens.
- Poverty rates are soaring in Southern California as taxpayers flee over the mountains and illegal aliens pour in by the hundreds of thousands each year.
What Will America Look Like in 2050?
- By 2050, every major U.S. city will look like Los Angeles, and Los Angeles will look like Mexico City.
- White Americans, already a minority in California, New Mexico and Texas, will be an aging, shrinking minority in the United States. America will become a Third World country.
- Instead of “one nation, one people,†America will have become two nations, divided by race and class, what Theodore Roosevelt warned against: a multicultural, multi-ethnic, multi-lingual Tower of Babel, a “polyglot boarding house†for the world.
- Texas, California and the Southwest will be so Hispanicized they will be more a part of Mexico than the United States.
- The Republican Party will have been drowned in minority votes, and will have become America’s permanent minority party.
- There will be a vast increase in federal power to enforce social and economic equality among rival and unequal ethnic and racial groups.
- President Bush’s legacy may be to have lost forever a Southwest President James K. Polk won for the United States.
What Explains America’s Paralysis?
- The Republican Party is in the grip of a cult called “Economism.†It is all about money. The GOP worships at the “Church of GDP.â€
- Both parties are paralyzed by guilt over America’s racial sins, and lack the will and fortitude of previous generations to do what is necessary to defend the nation from the Third World invasion
- Powerful Mexican and U.S. elites seek to erase the border entirely and merge the United States and Mexico into a “North American Union.â€
- Fear of ethnic lobbies and of being called “xenophobes†and “racists†causes politicians to remain silent as textbooks for Mexican-American kids teach the Mexican-American War from the Santa Anna point of view.
Myths, Truths & Realities
- Washington, Franklin, Madison, Hamilton, Teddy Roosevelt, Wilson, FDR and JFK wanted only immigrants who could be assimilated.
- It is a myth, dating to the 1930s, that Lady Liberty in New York harbor, was set up to advertise America as “Mother of Exilesâ€
- Until 1965, immigration was almost 100% from Europe; which is how Truman and John F. Kennedy wanted it.
- Civil rights leaders Booker T. Washington and A. Philip Randolph and the Father of the American Labor movement, Sam Gompers, all wanted immigration severely restricted.
- Eisenhower launched “Operation Wetback†and expelled perhaps a million illegal aliens to Mexico, halting illegal immigration in its tracks.
- Cesar Chavez was an early Minuteman who considered Mexican illegal aliens scabs and strikebreakers brought in by agribusiness to kill his farm workers union.
- Teddy Kennedy, floor manager of the Immigration Act of 1965, promised us America would not be flooded by Third World immigrants, which is exactly what happened.
- Sam Ervin, liberal hero of the Watergate Committee, wanted to preserve the European origins of the United States in immigration law.
Can the Invasion Be Rolled Back?
In his final chapter, “Last Chance,†Buchanan lays out a national plan to deal with the State of Emergency, before it makes an end of America.
- A ten-year moratorium on all legal immigration, at the level JFK favored in 1958 – between 150,000 and 250,000 a year.
- A 2000-mile double-line security fence between the United States and Mexico, built with no apologies to Mexico City.
- A federally legislated end to all social welfare benefits for illegal aliens, except for emergency medical services.
- A crackdown on major businesses that chronically hire illegal aliens and the elimination of deductibility for all wages paid to illegals.
- A U.S. law to restate the true meaning of the 14th Amendment, and denial of automatic citizenship to “anchor babies†born to illegal aliens.
- A halt to the scandal of “chain migration†by allowing immigrants to bring in only wives and non-adult children. Everyone else gets in line.
- An end to “dual citizenship†in the United States, and a revival of true patriotism.
- An Eisenhower-type deportation program beginning with all aliens convicted of felonies and every gang member who is not a citizen of the United States.
